Jessi Mischel, PhD
Lead Research Sales Engineer
Jessi earned her Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. at University of Pittsburgh working with Dr. Aaron Batista to develop novel tools for studying sensorimotor integration and assessing the efficacy of new forms of providing feedback to prosthetic users. She has always had an affinity for hardware, which has served her well as the Lead Research Sales Engineer at Ripple for the last year and a half.
Rebecca Gerth, PhD
Research Sales Engineer
Rebecca earned her Biomedical Engineering PhD at University of Pittsburgh with Dr. Carol Colby where she applied signal processing techniques to study the communication of spatial information between distant brain areas during the planning and generation of eye movements. She is excited to bring her passion for analysis to the Ripple Sales Team.
Henry Shin, PhD
Research Sales Engineer
Henry earned his Biomedical Engineering Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill working under Dr. Xiaogang Hu in the Neuromechanics Lab. His research focused on the development and exploration of a non-invasive neuromuscular electrical stimulation approach for the restoration of hand control and finger flexion. He also assisted on other projects including high-density EMG decomposition and haptic sensation feedback for individuals with upper limb amputations.
Ross Apparies, PhD
Director of Human Clinical and Research Sales
Ross received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Maryland. His research interests included cognitive function across the lifespan, peak performance and attentional states, using EEG and ERPs as the primary dependent measures. Since 1997, Ross has played a key role in development, sales and marketing of clinical and research products assessing brain activity, launching more than a dozen hardware and software products, and has played a key role in setting up or optimizing hundreds of laboratories and research studies.
Viral Sheth, MS
Director of International Sales
Viral received his M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University. Viral is passionate about driving advancements in neuro disorders through research including epilepsy, Parkinson’s, stroke and many more. Previously, he worked with Electrical Geodesics, Inc. (EGI), for over a decade, working closely with researchers and clinicians from around the world in establishing state of the art multi-modal neuroimaging labs. At Ripple Neuro, he is looking forward to building long term relationships with our customers and partners worldwide to deliver innovative solutions coupled with a customer-centric and learning mindset.
Sonia Cavaliere, PhD
European Research Sales Engineer
Sonia received her PhD from the University of Bristol studying electrophysiological, pharmacological and behavioral characterizations of ion channels working in Dr. James Hodge’s lab. She was interested in discovering how neural circuit activity underlies behavior including circadian rhythms, sleep, memory and movement and how these are affected by ageing, drugs and diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Down’s and schizophrenia. After her PhD, Sonia worked for the past 7 years in the capital equipment sales sector helping set up neuroscience labs all over Europe.
